Rachel John is the orignator of the Extreme Textiles products. Her influences in yarn and wood craft in the last 5 years have spread like wild fire becoming a worldwide influence in much textiles practice from UK to Australia, across the USA, Asia, the Easterns and Europe.

Already many designers, manufacturers and home crafters are taking up the inspiration of Rachel's work to educate, enthuse and to be creative.

Rachel is the original thinker and inspiration behind all Extreme and Big Knit projects. For instance: the knitted boat and The Big Knit Project with Ingrid Wagner. Ingrid was a student at our workshops, she'd never seen anything like it, she was so inspired that, even today, she feels the need to seek creative ideas from Rachel - both in words and deeds. The Big Stitch Book by Becca Smith - again Becca still seeks inspiration from Rachel's work online. In the next year you will see more of Extreme/Big Knit projects across the globe.
